Other than the Comme des garçons SHIRT campaign which I have raved about previously, I am now in awe over this illustration type of campaign from Kris Van Assche. I remember being so eager to await scans of the major campaigns sur TFS but now that habit is nothing but a thing of the past. I seem to find it hard to contain myself to visualising the clothes in an ad campaign with models and the clothes and the typical poses these days. I want something more. I much prefer experiencing a surface reality of an image that is not completely communicated to you. Donc it is open to a variety of readings and interpretations. Right now, I find myself drawn to these images that make up the Andrea Mastrovito illustrated ad campaign for Kris Van Assche this saison. I particularly like that image with the sun tied up as if it was a balloon. It's just the right amount of wit and humour. En tout cas, I'm currently amused and would speak no further as I feel like the more I make this post lengthier the more I lose the momentum. I think I'll crawl back to bed in a little while.

I think Van Assche's design is so esoteric that he needs to move beyond the traditional forms of fashion advertising.
