NON BY KIM: CLEANLINESS AND PRECISION
I was astounded by the neatness of the aesthetic and a certain precision carried out in constructing the silhouettes for the looks on this collection. It’s like imagining the pleasure of seeing those subtle almost invisible lines from a Rothko painting. As there is neatness along with that precision I mentioned, there is also a certain sense of lightness making itself felt in the clothes.
A particular piece of interest is this gray vest that centers on geometric precision with buttons attached to chains that connect to each other from the waist to the hip area. I adore that certain play that it is light and at the same time structured but not too structured as it goes with the body. It comes in a graceful symbiosis wherein vestments and the human body create a certain language that all the more makes it fluid and an effortless notion.

JEROEN VAN TUYL: CONTEMPORARY GALLIARD
Today’s fashionable man is courageous enough to always try on new things yet has this strong sense of tradition in him. He loves how traditional tailoring techniques are still preserved whilst also enjoying cutting-edge menswear in this way he creates this notion of progressive menswear. It’s like he’s somewhere between this Zegna wearing man to this Ann Demeulemeester enthusiast. In terms of sartorial iconoclasts, he is a bit of an Alain Delon with a mix of Terence Koh tendencies. He is also worldly and his style is an amalgamation of his education, his learnings, and his openness to new things. Also a contemporary galliard treats gender norms as feckless and his Dionysian sensibilities lead him to seeing things in a certain ambiguity which helps him evolve and not inch himself closer to priapicism which is the sickness of most men in a patriarchal society.
HANS UBBINK: MONOCHROME TO VIVID
A range of colours somewhat defines a certain shift of emotion on the runway perhaps from sobriety to overjoy or a natural high.
From grayscale to vivid hues, a tactful play on colour easily brings an ensemble to life. It’s like shifting the mood from a Bergman film in black & white to a Demy musical where the colours are as vivid.
