WTF???

I was browsing at a newsstand in the neighbourhood and chanced upon the latest issue of Man About Town and then I saw the price. It was Php 2285.00 which is GBP 26.88, EUR 36,27, USD 48.62 (Do take note: All prices not in my local currency are just approximate values based on the current exchange rate).  Tell me how could a £ 5 magazine be sold here at a price that is 5 times its actual price? I don’t think airfreight would lead to such unfair price. Bah! Fuck Emerald Headway, the well known overpricing magazine distributor in poor Manille. And now, ladies and gentlemen, you know why most Filipinos have this notion that everything is overpriced here because it actually is. XXXX
